Background
Established in 2016, Paradigm Leadership Support Initiative (PLSI) is a civic tech organization promoting citizens’ participation in Nigerian public audit to foster accountability, good governance and development of marginalized and under-served communities. PLSI is seeking consultant to manage production logistics of its “Value for Money” TV show.
PLSI work to increase civic activity around public audit and other fiscal data in Nigeria. The organization strives to ensure citizens engage with public officials and elected representatives using audit and other relevant data to demand accountability and improved service delivery in their respective communities.
Objective of the TV show
To sensitize citizens and draw attention of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government to key public interest issues relating to accountability in the utilization of public funds in Nigeria.
Scope of work
Consultant will be responsible for the following:
- Provide recording studio in the Federal Capital Territory and manage related logistics
- Provide all necessary equipment to be used such as cameras, microphones, lightings
- Provide enough personnel to manage all production related logistics including directing, recording, post-production
Duties and Responsibilities
To achieve the objective stated above, the contractor will perform the following tasks:
- Ensure availability of studio venue for each
- Provide all necessary equipment needed to produce each
- Provide refreshments for tea breaks and lunch for each
- Provide all necessary print materials needed for each recording
- Provide personalized backdrops for the recording of each
- Work with PLSI Program Manager in the course of the production of the
- Edit all recordings to the specifications required for airing by the contracted TV
- Submit completed edited recordings to PLSI
Duration of Assignment
Consultant is expected to work 3 days during the period from Monday 2nd December to Wednesday 4th December 2019.
Deliverables
- Complete edited recordings submitted to PLSI having incorporated all observations pointed
Institutional Setting and Reporting Mechanism
The contractor will be contracted by PLSI and shall report to the Executive Director while working very closely with the Program Manager.
Duty Station
The contractor will be based in Nigeria.
Required Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of video production and editing
- Experience with recording equipment and editing software
- Ability to prioritize and deliver a variety of task on time
- Ability to plan for and produce quality result in meeting deadline
