ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
Paradigm Leadership Support Initiative (PLSI) is a civic organization promoting citizens participation in public audit to foster accountability, good governance, and development of marginalized and under-served communities in Nigeria. PLSI utilizes relevant technology tools to simplify audit data for citizens and other stakeholder groups to improve accountability and effect policy changes while enhancing effectiveness and efficiency across the entire public audit action cycle in Nigeria.
JOB PURPOSE
The Communications Associate will be responsible for implementing PLSI communications strategies.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Working relationships will include Executive Director, Program Officers, and Communications Team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support brand and corporate image development for the organization
- Support content development for press releases, blog posts, reports, policy briefs etc
- Support the management of communication channels particularly social media platforms and newsletter
- Consistently drive online engagements and advocacies, while holding the ground for organizational perception management
- Assist to standardize content of all research reports worked on by the organization, with a focus on maintaining PLSI communications and branding standards
- Develop organization’s impact stories through periodical articles
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in relevant discipline.
Experience and Core Competencies
- Substantial and proven experience as a content writer
- Ability to translate reports or documents into manageable posts for social media platforms
- Ability to analyze and communicate complex information to a wide range of audience
- Ability to think and operate strategically and independently
- Ability to effectively translate strategy and concepts into intellectually stimulating content
- Must possess influencing and critical analysis skills, self-awareness and must be able to work effectively with others
- Must have exceptional written and oral presentation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic manner
