ROLE SUMMARY
Job Title: Media Associate

Travel Clause: Highly possible but as required

Contract Duration: Indefinite
Reporting Mechanism: Head of Media and Communications
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Working relationships will include the Executive Director, Program Officers, and Communications Team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the brand’s primary videographer and photographer
- Responsible for capturing high quality event content moments and editing the needs for output
- To organize a strong gallery of aspirational images and videos which will be used to reflect and communicate the brand and all research reports worked on by the organization
- Support brand and corporate image development for the organization
- Use various media including graphics, animations, data visualization, music and voice overs to create professional content
- Work with detailed content briefs provided as well as creating content briefs for press releases, blog posts, reports, policy briefs etc.
- To be up to date on editing of videos and photography trends
- Assist in developing organization’s impact stories through content creation including images and videos.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in relevant discipline.
Experience and Core Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of photography/videography within the digital domain
- Must display excellent technical and photography skills
- Must display a passion for both photographic and video content and a commitment to holding editorial integrity
- Experience with standard editing tools and software
- Have a sound knowledge of the evolving nature of social media.
- Ability to multitask while showing attention to detail
- Must have commitment to deadlines and be open to flexible working hours
- Ability to work well independently but also working alongside team members
- Must possess a strong communication and organizational skills with a positive attitude.
